Great opportunity for a motivated and skilled Engineer to join the Rail Structures team of our client based in Watford.
As a key member of one of the UK's leading private Engineering Consultancies, you will have the chance to work on a diverse range of projects, contributing to the London Underground and Network Rail infrastructure.

This role provides a dynamic workload with multiple projects and clients, ensuring no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary rail team that includes engineers and technicians at varying levels of experience.
- Lead the production of design packages at different project stages, including concept, tender, and detailed design.
- Contribute to the design and development of various rail structures, including stations, platforms, retaining walls, foundations, bridges, and earthworks.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Civil Engineering.
- Currently working towards or planning to attain Chartered status with ICE or IStructE.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in designing rail structures, including stations, bridges, foundations, and related infrastructure.
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time, particularly within multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt your communication style to different audiences.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to generate quick, effective solutions to engineering challenges.
- Competence in preparing engineering calculations and documentation.
- Collaborative approach to working with design teams to ensure coordinated and high-quality designs.
- Proficiency in structural engineering software packages.
