Our client is a highly successful specialist technology manufacturer and vendor, established 25 years, serving the UK and export markets. The firm has been recognised with industry and national trade awards, notably included twice in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100.
The role is a field-sales and key account management remit, covering London and SE England and reporting to board level, working predominantly with clients in the construction industry supply chain.
The ideal candidate will be a well-organised and purposeful field sales professional with a minimum of 3 years’ prior business development experience within a construction-related product or service, ideally (but not necessarily) equipment hire, hydraulics, robotics or lifting solutions. Strong candidates who have instead perhaps sold into the nuclear, automotive, energy, rail or industrial sector(s) would also be considered on merit.
To be considered you must have a personable and very thorough sales style allied to first class presentation skills. You will be comfortable dealing with customers at both site management and at board level. The sales cycle for the company’s specialist products can be up to nine months (with average order values circa £200k) so patience, perseverance and the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships is crucial.
