About the position of Telephone Business Development Representative
Due to growth, our client, a specialist brokerage, is seeking talented Business Development Managers to join their expanding team. You will be responsible for building, managing, and nurturing relationships with a mix of pre-existing and new accounts within your assigned region. By leveraging proactive phone engagement and outstanding customer service, you will work closely with intermediaries to drive enquiry growth and promote the brokerage's products.
Responsibilities for the role of Telephone Business Development Representative
- Build, manage, and grow relationships with intermediaries to meet enquiry and new business targets.
- Proactively source new opportunities for networking, events, and enquiries through self-led research.
- Deliver the company's proposition effectively, with an understanding of competitors' offerings as applicable.
- Nurture enquiry growth among existing user accounts within the assigned region.
- Fully own and manage a large geographical region with autonomy.
- Attend roadshows and events with the Sales Manager to represent the brokerage.
- Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of the company's product range and lending criteria.
- Engage with introducers and manage inquiries on new business opportunities.
Experience and Skills Required for the role of Telephone Business Development Representative
- Previous experience in a sales or business development role is essential.
- Experience in lending or financial services would be advantageous.
- Proficient in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with intermediaries and introducers.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a proactive approach to achieving targets.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Enthusiastic and proactive with the ability to take initiative.
- Confident and professional telephone manner.
