Flourish craft bakery is a quality lead artisan bakery and patisserie in the heart of Watford, and has been baking for Londons finest restaurants and hotels for the last 25 years. We pride ourselves on our timeless craft and creative ethos, with our passion for quality at the forefront of everything we do.
Our showpiece to the outside world is our bustling and vibrant bakery café and classic Neapolitan pizzeria. The café brunch menu showcases our baking credentials and brings to life many of our classic breads and bakes. Our pizzeria takes inspiration solely from the heart of Naples with the finest ingredients imported straight from Italy, to complement our well renowned sourdough base.
Our reputation speaks for itself as we continue to grow year on year since we opened the doors back in 2000.
The main purpose of the job
With growth comes opportunity, and were excited to be recruiting for an additional Chef de Partie to help strengthen our kitchen team. As Chef De Partie, you will be a vital part of our high performing kitchen team and will be producing delicious food in a well-equipped kitchen and adjoining wood fired pizzeria. A unique opportunity to showcase your skills as well as learn and develop under the guidance of our talented Head Chef.
The role will be across the café kitchen and pizzeria, and include evenings and weekends across a 45 hour working week. All necessary training will be provided, were a business that takes significant pride in our working environment, and new team members that bring a positive attitude will inevitably develop quickly.
What we need from you
Assist the senior chefs to ensure the day-to-day smooth running of our high volume, fast paced café and pizzeria kitchens, taking responsibility for key areas of the kitchen including preparation and service.
Assist the senior chefs in developing creative and innovative dishes and menu ideas to deliver an exciting and varied menu. Creativity is always encouraged, and this role will be heavily involved in bringing the best ideas to life.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, recognizing areas to drive quality and develop heightened levels of organisation and efficiency.
Maintain effective communication between kitchen staff and front of house and all other departments and managers with an open, positive and flexible attitude.
Contribute positively to all housekeeping requirements including cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and its equipment, waste control, required paperwork as well as day to day ordering.
As part of the team, ensure the Company health and safety, food safety and recycling policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
