Here at Every Step Recruitment, Sales & Marketing, we are actively searching for a 'Head of Sales’ who will have overall responsibility for leading and managing our Client’s Sales function and achieving high growth sales targets from inbound enquiries.The Sales Team currently consists of 8 Sales Executives and a Sales Manager - however due to significant investment and ambitious growth plans, our Client is looking to triple their revenue in the next 18 months and as such, will be expanding their Sales Team to 25 Sales Executives to realise this increased demand.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Work alongside the Directors to develop and execute a sales plan to achieve revenue targets
  • Develop, manage and motivate the Sales Team to ensure targets are consistently met
  • Hold regular team meetings and one-to-ones to ensure effective communication
  • Identify and resolve any issues which could threaten the successful execution of the sales plan
  • Ensure sufficient resource is in place to manage the daily workload
  • Build rapport with external stakeholders and third parties
  • Work with internal teams such as Marketing, Finance and Operations to achieve consistent and sustainable growth
  • Continuously driving efficiencies and service improvements

You will require the following skills and attributes:

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Sales - preferably Inbound / Telesales
  • A minimum of 5 years’ recent experience as a Sales Manager (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrable experience of having complete accountability for delivering revenue targets (£ Millions)
  • Solid experience developing and managing a sizeable Sales Team and extracting high performance
  • Excellent motivational skills to keep the Team’s energy levels and sales drive high
  • A natural problem solver with the ability to handle fundamental sales issues and to get the best from your Sales Team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A real drive and determination to achieve and exceed targets
