Overview of the Role – Health & Safety Manager

The role of the Health & Safety Manager (HSQE) is to co-ordinate and oversee all aspects of company H&S, Quality and Environmental to ensure the company and its operations comply with all areas of the law. To ensure that our workforce always works safely and that our staff are competent to undertake their work safely and if applicable are given the necessary training.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve health and safety management system that reflects legal and good practice standards.
  • Promote a culture where H&S is front of mind for all members of the team and challenge and have conversations with anyone who does not embrace this culture regardless of who they are.
  • Keep up to date with changes in the legislation and standards.
  • Ensure all resources are used efficiently to maximise profits

Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven track record of H&S management within a building or civil contracting environment
  • Possess skills to bring others with you on the journey of industry leading H&S
