We are seeking an experienced Claims Manager to join a leading insurance brokerage. This is an exciting new role where the successful candidate will take charge of managing claims teams and working closely with the Head of Claims to drive strategic goals and corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the daily operations and workflow of the claims team, ensuring efficiency and adherence to service standards.
- Manage claims for major clients from initial notification through to settlement, ensuring excellent client service.
- Attend client meetings as required to support and promote the company’s Claims Advocacy services.
- Provide mentoring, training, and development for claims staff, including conducting performance appraisals.
- Assist in data management and reporting for the broking team and clients.
- Support broking teams with pre-renewal requirements to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Engage in regular visits to company offices to collaborate with internal teams and enhance service delivery.
- Review claim declinatures and work with insurers to challenge decisions where necessary.
- Ensure all team members operate within company guidelines and FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) regulations to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Uphold and promote professionalism within the claims team, fostering a culture aligned with ethical and regulatory standards, including the Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) policy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers to secure favorable terms and ensure client needs are met.
- Support staff development by encouraging Continuous Professional Development.
- Take ownership of specific client accounts as assigned, ensuring a high standard of claims management and client support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain efficient office operations and adhere to all internal compliance procedures.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in claims management within the commercial insurance sector, strong leadership skills, and the ability to foster positive relationships with clients and insurers. A proactive approach to process improvement, compliance, and client advocacy is essential.
