Job Advert: Experienced SEND Tutors Needed in Hertfordshire
Location: HertfordshirePay Rate: £30-£35 per hour
Reed Tutors are proud to be working with the Hertfordshire Local Authority to provide exceptional educational support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We are currently seeking experienced SEND Tutors to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of young learners.
Role Overview:
As a SEND Tutor, you will be responsible for providing 1:1 tuition and mentoring to students. This tuition will take place either at the pupil’s home address or in a local setting such as a library. Your role will be crucial in helping students achieve their educational goals and build their confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition and mentoring to students with SEND.
- Tailor lessons to meet the individual needs and learning styles of each student.
- Provide a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
- Monitor and report on student progress.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching students with SEND.
- Strong understanding of various SEND conditions and effective teaching strategies.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A DBS on the update service is desirable.
