Goods In/Out Assistant

Salary: c£25,000 per annum

Watford, Herts

We are an established, dynamic and vibrant Graphic Production Company based in Watford. We specialise in providing innovative, tailored solutions for well known companies within Film & TV, Retail and Exhibitions.

We are seeking to recruit a Goods In/Out Assistant to join our team!

Responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving all purchases and maintaining records
  • Using our Stock Management systems
  • Ensuring stock reaches the appropriate location
  • Managing deliveries
  • Fortnightly rolling stock counts and maintaining basic stock levels
  • Managing the Health and Safety of the goods storage area
  • Preparing the work area for the next influx of material/jobs.
  • Responding to stock requests from the production team
  • Ordering of stock from suppliers

This role will also include the use of a Forklift - full training will be provided:

  • Loading and unloading of trucks/vans while adhering to health and safety standards.
  • The putting away and retrieval of palleted material from storage racks from varying heights.
  • Responsibility for any maintenance issues that may arrive with the forklift
  • Performing regular safety inspections and completing the forklift safety form.

Requirements

Suitable candidates will have experience working within a hands on, warehouse environment. In addition the following skills are essential:

  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Be a quick learner with a flexible approach to taking on new tasks
  • Able to prioritise workloads.
  • Has the ability to resolve stock issues through effective investigation
  • Excellent time keeping
  • Be able to utilise in-house stock management systems.
