Eclectic Recuitment is looking for a Family Paralegal to join a well-established law firm based in the Watford Area. You will play a key role in supporting the family law department with caseloadmanagment and supporting the fee earners with legal research. This role is able to offer 1 day working from home.

Job title: Family Law ParalegalSalary:£25,000+ per annum (DOE) Location: Watford Hours: Full-Time

We are looking for a paralegal with previous experience in legal aid who is skilled in handling the legal aid applications, working with legal aid clients within the family cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting solicitors with case preparation, including drafting correspondence, legal documents, and court forms
  • Managing client files and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
  • Conducting legal research and providing summaries
  • Liaising with clients, courts, and third parties
  • Preparing for hearings, meetings, and conferences
  • Supporting with administrative duties related to family law matters, including child custody, divorce, and financial settlements
  • Assisting with billing and maintaining time records

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of family law and legal aid procedures and documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software
