Academics are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant (SEN) to join their team on a full-time basis. This role will involve working closely with two students on a 1:1 basis who have specific educational needs as outlined in their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning, development, and well-being of these students, ensuring they have access to an enriching educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to two students on a 1:1 basis, implementing strategies from their EHCPs to facilitate their learning and development.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons, adapting materials and activities to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment, encouraging students to develop their social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback to teaching staff and contributing to the development of individual learning plans.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the students' education and well-being.
  • Support students during break times and transitions, promoting positive interactions and inclusivity within the school community.
  • Uphold school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety.

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a primary school setting, with a focus on SEN.
