Join Our Compassionate Team - Mental Health Support Worker: 

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of those struggling with their mental health? We're looking for empathetic, dedicated individuals to join our team and provide critical support to people experiencing a mental health crisis.

About the Role: As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will offer emotional and practical support to individuals in crisis, providing a safe, welcoming, and comforting environment where they can be heard and supported on the telephone and face to face. The service offers support 7 days per week to members of the public who can self refer to the service for help. .

 What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Creating a Safe Haven: Offering a non-judgmental, compassionate space for individuals to talk or simply be, based on their needs.
  • Providing 1:1 Support: Delivering practical and emotional assistance, helping individuals find coping strategies and explore ways to move forward.
  • Resolution: Working with people to understand their situations and empowering them with tools to manage their distress.
  • Guidance & Information: Sharing helpful tips and resources to aid in mental health recovery.
  • Signposting & Referrals: Connecting individuals with further resources and long-term support when necessary.

 Service Details:

  • Service location based in Watford from 17:30- 01:30
  • Operates Monday to Sunday 

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Compassionate and empathetic individuals with experience or interest and back ground in mental health support.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A commitment to creating a supportive, non-judgmental environment.
  • Ideally a car driver due to the hours of the role
