We are recruiting for an exciting fast growing business, based on the outskirts of Watford.
They are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Administrator to join their procurement / supply chain team. The successful candidate will assist in sourcing, purchasing, and managing supplier relationships to ensure cost efficiency, quality and timely delivery of goods and services. You must have excellent communication skills, the ability to build relationships and exceptional attention to detail.
This role involves alot of deadline - so the ideal person needs to be orgsanised and on the ball!Key Responsibilities:
• Supplier Management: Assist in identifying, evaluating, and managing supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement standards.• Purchasing & Negotiation: Support procurement activities, including obtaining quotes, negotiating pricing and contract terms, and placing purchase orders.• Cost & Budget Control: Work with internal teams to monitor procurement budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure procurement activities adhere to relevant regulations, internal policies, and best practices.• Process Improvement: Contribute to the optimisation of procurement processes, including automation and efficiency improvements.• Market Research: Conduct research on market trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities to support informed decision-making.• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including finance, operations, and logistics, to meet business needs.• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier contracts, and performance reports.Skills & Experience Required• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data, evaluate supplier performance, and assess cost-saving opportunities.• Communication & Negotiation: Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with suppliers and internal stakeholders.• Attention to Detail: Organised and meticulous in handling procurement documentation and supplier agreements.• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with procurement software is a plus.• Problem-Solving: Ability to address procurement challenges and find effective solutions.If you are looking to utilise your admin skills in a new career direction - apply now!
