Poolhall Recruitment are hiring on behalf of a manufacturing and installation contractor who has a multitude of projects in the waterworks/wastewater & HS2 frameworks.

We are recruiting for a Senior CAD Technician to join their expanding team. Experience with structural steel or water infrastructure projects would be critical to be successful in the post.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate a high level of 2D and 3D Design work, advanced steel / autocad inventor background.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work within the project team, site surveys & drawing sign-offs
  • Support the design team in a range of CAD and design-related tasks.
  • Produce high-quality design outputs, following company and client CAD standards.
  • Supervise and mentor junior technicians and trainees.
  • Collaborate on water and wastewater infrastructure design projects.
  • Collaborate on structural steelwork sites, including platforms, ladders, and staircase projects to 1090 standards
  • Use the relevant Quality Management Systems and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations,

About you:

  • Relevant degree or technical qualification (HNC/HND) through apprenticeship or formal learning.
  • Experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design is highly desirable
  • Experience in structural steel
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Advance Steel, and other related engineering software.
