OverviewI am seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Demand Planner to join my highly-successful Wednesbury based client. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing supply chain processes, ensuring that inventory levels meet customer demand for a wide variety of fast-moving products..

This position requires proficiency in Excel and a strong understanding of demand forecasting techniques.

Main Responsibilities - Develop and maintain demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales input.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales & marketing, to gather stock level insights - Plan stock inventory and place orders with suppliers to fulfil demand requirements, making changes according to variances throughout the year.- Monitor inventory levels and adjust forecasts accordingly to prevent stockouts and minimise excess inventory.- Conduct regular reviews of forecast accuracy and implement improvements as necessary.- Participate in the development of inventory management policies and procedures.- Identify potential supply chain disruptions and proactively develop business continuity plans.

Qualifications- Proven experience in demand planning or a related field within the supply chain sector, preferably within a manufacturing environment- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across various departments.- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organisational skills.- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
