Sonic Summary

The client in Wednesbury is seeking an experienced Quality Technician to join their growing team.
The position offers a salary ranging from £28,000 to £30,000 per annum, with standard hours being Monday to Friday from 08:30 am to 04:30 pm.
Candidates must have experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment and be familiar with BRC requirements.
Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with food legislation, conducting quality checks, and assisting in audits.

Our client in the Wednesbury area is looking for a Quality Technician to join their fun and vibrant team due to continued business growth!

Hours - Monday to Friday - 08:30am to 16:30pm (30 Minute lunch)

Role & Responsibilities:

Ensure materials and products are handled in a hygienic environment, in line with products specs, compliance and food legislation.
Carry out Quality duties as outlined by the QA Supervisor.
To take part in all continuous improvement projects relevant to Quality/Technical.
Be aware of individual product requirements.
Assist in customer and 3rdparty audits.
Coordinate action for non-conformances, manage follow up of incidents and handle customer complaints in an effective way.
To undertake all checks as defined on the QMS testing schedule.
Verification of production compliance through the QMS & HACCP systems
To spend the 80% of the time per shift on the production area
Quality certificates and COA completion
Completion of Fabrication and Glass and hard plastic audits
Completion of GMP audits
Submission of laboratory samples

Required Skills & Experience:

(Essential) Experience in a FMCG environment is essential.
Be familiar with BRC requirements.
Ability to take responsibilities and find appropriate solutions on food safety issues
Proficient with Microsoft office (Excel / Word / PowerPoint)
Flexible and adaptable in terms of shift pattern and absence coverage
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Excellent attention to detail
