CMM Programmer

Location: Darlaston

Salary: £45,000 per annum

Hours: Full-time, day shift. Monday to Friday, start time negotiable. Possibility of having Fridays off depending on the agreed start time.

About the Role:

We are recruiting a CMM Programmer for an aerospace engineering company based in Darlaston. This role has opened up due to the company's expansion, and we are looking for someone with strong experience in metrology and precision engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, set up, and operate CMMs and Keyence machines.
  • Create detailed inspection reports.
  • Perform manual quality inspections.
  • Review and address non-conforming parts.
  • Work closely with engineering and other department heads to ensure products meet conformance standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Metrology and CMM programming in a precision engineering environment.
  • Proficiency in setting up, operating, and programming CMMs.
  • Strong background in quality control within a precision engineering context.
  • Experience using conventional inspection tools such as micrometers, verniers, calipers, and pin gauges.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with different departments to achieve company objectives.
