Cost Clerk

Working for a Construction & Civil Engineering contractor, based in their Midlands division supporting the Commercial team.

Location:- Wellingborough, Northamptonshire

Office-based a minimum of 4 days a week while learning and supporting the team.

Pay Rate:- 30,000 basic

Role:

The Resolute Group are working in partnership with a 80m contractor that after a number of successful project and framework awards growing to achieve 100m t/o in the next 24 months. This has also led to several hires across the business including growing the Commercial function.

Working with the Commercial team that manages the day-to-day projects, your role is to support the Quantity Surveyors and Commercial manager.

Day-to-day duties could include:-

  • The processing of allocated records payable in an efficient and timely manner
  • Ensuring that all records have the correct authorisations and relevant PO's
  • If records require amendments, ensure that this is done promptly to ensure they adhere to the payment process.
  • Ensuring that all records are identified, indexed, filed and retained in accordance with the relevant filing system and statutory requirements.
  • Support the Commercial Manager in creating reports and financial data.
  • All filing requirements need to be completed on a weekly basis.
  • Assist the Manager as required with any ad hoc projects and assist all other team members as directed by the Manager when necessary.

This role is the first step into developing into an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, gaining additional qualifications and a possible degree in Quantity Surveying for the right candidate.

Qualification & Experience:

  • A formal qualification be it Apprenticeship / A level / ONC / HNC / HND / Degree, Ideally in a financial subject.
