Foam Techniques Ltd is a thriving manufacturing business with a turnover exceeding £9.5 million. With over 30 years of experience in manufacturing foam and rubber products, they have developed extensive expertise in producing high-quality components for a diverse range of industries. As part of Avon Group, they remain an independent, privately owned family business.
Following several key additions to their senior management team (SMT), Foam Techniques is well on track to achieve its ambitious growth plans, aiming for a £16 million turnover within the next five years.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, with a dotted line to the Group Finance Director, the Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s ambitious growth agenda as one of Avon Group’s flagship businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnering with the Managing Director to ensure budgets are delivered to Group Directors.
- Collaborating with the SMT to support commercial and operational decision-making.
- Managing and mentoring a team of two Accounts Assistants.
- Producing and presenting monthly management accounts.
- Providing accurate cost of sales analysis.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements and meeting deadlines.
- Leading quarterly and annual stock takes.
Who They’re Looking For
Foam Techniques Ltd is seeking an established finance leader with:
- A recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) - QBE candidates may also be considered.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
