Payroll with CIS knowledge required for an established firm of Chartered Accountants

Hours - 35hrs per week

9am to 5pm with 1 hour lunch between 1pm-2pm ( flexible)

Salary up to 30,000

The ideal candidate will have previously worked in an Accountancy Practice ot a Payrol Bureau or have CIS ( subcontractors) payroll Knowledge

The Payroll Duties

  • Working in a team of two others you will be managing approximately 170 payrolls varying in size from 1 employee to 70
  • Running monthly, weekly, 4 weekly, fortnightly payrolls
  • Setting up new payroll schemes/ closing payroll schemes
  • Setting up new pension schemes/auto-enrollment duties
  • Pension contributions upload
  • CIS reporting
  • CIS subcontractors' verification
  • Liaising with HM Revenue and Customs
  • Staying updated on changes in payroll regulations and guidelines, implementing necessary adjustments to ensure legal compliance.
  • Key point of contact for all queries related to payroll.

To be successful in this Payroll position you will have

  • Good knowledge of payroll systems
  • Knowledge of Auto-enrolment compliance
  • Knowledge of New Starter and Leaver processes
  • Knowledge of CIS reporting
  • Basic knowledge of relevant payroll software preferably BrightPay.
  • You should have good communication skills to effectively address payroll-related queries from all practice's clients
  • Accuracy in payroll calculations and reporting.
  • Have a basic understanding of how to manually calculate deductions from pay such as Tax and NI.
