Are you looking for the opportunity to lead and manage a diverse range of civil engineering projects? Can you provide technical expertise to deliver top-tier solutions?

Our client is seeking a senior civil engineer in their busy office to work on infrastructure schemes spanning highways, drainage systems and external works for both new builds and refurbishments in public and private sectors.

Your daily workload will involve overseeing multiple projects from start to finish, ensuring innovative, high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage civil engineering projects from inception through to completion, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Design detailed road, drainage, and external works systems, including S38, S278 highway schemes, and S104 drainage schemes, while preparing technical specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with various departments, contractors, clients, and architects to deliver integrated and effective solutions.
  • Resolve technical challenges and introduce innovative solutions throughout the design phase.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices across all projects.
  • Attend project meetings, site visits, and inspections as needed.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, technical specifications, and design documentation.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
  • Chartered status (e.g., CEng MICE) or working towards chartership is highly desirable.
  • 5-7 years of experience in civil design engineering, with a strong portfolio of successfully delivered projects.
  • Proficiency in civil design software such as Revit, Civil 3D, Site 3D, Ground Modelling, Flow, and WinDes.
  • In-depth knowledge of design standards, regulations, best practices, and Eurocodes.
  • Experience in drainage, flooding, and stormwater management.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring the highest standard of work is consistently maintained.
  • Experience with client-facing responsibilities and project management tasks.
