Our client based in Wellingborough is looking for CNC HyperMill Milling Programmer to join their expanding team.
Responsibilities:
Self-motivated and having very good attention to detail along with the ability to communicate clearly to members of your team and management.
o Read and interpret technical blueprints and design models
o Use HyperMill computer software to model cutting paths and program machine accordingly
o Input the product design into the computer modelling software, choose and load the correct cutting tools required to cut particular materials and program machines accordingly.
o Set & operate up to 5 axis machinery
o Load raw materials into the CNC machine
o Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine during the manufacturing process.
o Complete quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product
o Assist Sales Manager with quotations
o Perform basic machine maintenance
o Train new staff on CNC Programming
o Occasionally carry out tasks outside your main duties
Reporting:
Reporting to the Milling Section Team leader or Head of Operations
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required
- Ideally time served Apprentice with 3 years experience in a similar environment
- Extensive experience with computer modelling software
- Set & operate up to 5 axis machinery
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and stick to a deadline
- Self-motivated and communicate clearly to members of your team and supervisor and be a team player.
- Good written and verbal communication
- General PC fluency
Shift pattern:
Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.30pm, Friday 7.30am to 1.30pm
Pay: £38,000.00 - £40,000.00
