Administrator (Operation & Maintenance Solar)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Solar Administrator. The O&M Solar Administrator will report to the O&M Manager, focusing on the daily, weekly, and monthly needs of the O&M service working as part of a team. You will be responsible for the timely response, investigation, and reporting of faults on Solar PV installations, supporting field engineers working on solar farms managing and maintaining monitoring systems and services.

Utilising the monitoring systems for the Solar PV plants you will be performing analysis of Solar PV data to ensure performance KPIs are achieved or exceeded and ensuring contractual obligations are maintained. You will be creating O&M reports about maintenance activities that have been carried out and operational information detailing the performance of Solar PV installations.

This role is primarily based in Raunds, Northamptonshire.

Key Accountabilities

  • Compile summaries of maintenance work completed, collating photographs, and drafting relevant insights for monthly client reporting.
  • Use Solar PV monitoring system to assess communication issues, identify data loss and perform checks on data integrity
  • Analysis of asset data to assess plant output, availability, and performance, identify and validate any anomalies found
  • Create O&M reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Explain technical concepts and finds pragmatic solutions for the monitoring and supporting Solar PV installations
  • Liaise with design and construction teams to ensure efficient commissioning and hand over of new sites
  • Ensure maximum availability of the portfolio of Solar PV assets through efficient incident management and escalation to field teams
  • Monitor historic performance of assets, systems and procedures and take necessary actions to continuously improve
  • Grow and share expertise on operations activities within the team and throughout the company
  • Support innovation projects and new developments.

Skills and Qualifications

Full UK Driving Licence

MS Office Skills

Understanding of Solar PV

Enthusiasm for Renewable Energy

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Confident communicating with clients via teams, phone & email
