Operations Manager
Location: Wellingborough
Salary: 65,000 - 70,000 base salary, car allowance and package
Summary:
This is a medium-sized logistics company with that is expanding. They are opening a new site and need an Operations Manager with startup experience and vast experience in reverse logistics.
The company is profitable and has a heritage of good customer service and value for money.
This is very much an operationally focused position; one that will require you to dig deep into the daily activities of the business, whilst also developing a road map for a new direction. Client relationships are strong, and the company has a loyal customer base.
The company needs an individual with considerable experience at Senior Management level who has a very strong ground in logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
To meet the challenges of this role you will need to be an accomplished operator who can take accountability for the day-to-day activities of managing a complex operation.
In this role you will provide leadership to a business that is going through a period of growth and transition and be able to implement best practice working solutions.
Key Skills/Experience:
- You will be used to driving and maintaining stringent KPIs that are linked to performance and profitability and will be instrumental in creating a productive, customer centric work ethos.
- Must have vast start up warehouse experience.
- Must have manged a reverse logistics operation.
- It goes without saying that the role calls for a financially astute individual whose excellent commercial acumen and proactive approach to cost control will improve the financial efficiencies of the site.
- You will need to be a natural leader with the presence and charisma needed to manage and develop teams.
In essence, we seek a solid logistics operator with a strong work ethic and the energy and tenacity to succeed in a fast- paced environment. Someone who is highly committed to delivering exceptional levels of customer service and can ensure that the operation is able to accommodate changing needs, seasonal trends and on-going growth and development.
You must have managed complex operations with a large staffing complement of at least 300 people.
