Our client in Wellingborough is seeking an IT Manager to join their full-service company which specialises in Repair, Engineering and Logistics. This is a full time, on-site position.

As an IT Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Management of service providers and suppliers to optimise IT Support.
  • Providing coaching and training to the local helpdesk support.
  • Providing support to the service desk for European users.
  • Daily monitoring of support tickets, including assigning and monitoring timely completion.
  • Conducting regular audits of the system and ensuring regular checks of the network are completed, to keep it safe and secure.
  • Management of and participation in IT Projects.
  • Responsibility for the IT infrastructure (hardware and software) including break-fix, troubleshooting and installation.
  • Creation and maintenance of service documentation.
  • Ensuring that IT activities are within the limits of applicable law, codes and regulations.

About you:

  • You must have a qualification in Computer science and/or Business Informatics, or completed training as an IT specialist, or Comparable professional training and verifiable knowledge acquired in practice.
  • You must be an organised individual who can work independently, in a structured, careful and results driven manner.
  • You must be a strong communicator, both in person and remotely.
  • You must have a good knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office, Microsoft Server, Active Directory and Virtualization.
  • You must have a strong knowledge of network technology, firewalling and cross site networking.
  • You must have knowledge of network security.
  • You must have additional skills in software distribution and managing Microsoft Client Systems.
