The Buyer / Procurement Specialist / Manufacturing Buyer will contribute to the overall strategy for purchasing, supplier management, supply chain development and wider business projects, whilst focussing on customer outcomes and market demands.
The successful Buyer / Procurement Specialist / Manufacturing Buyer will have proven experience in buying / purchasing within a manufacturing / engineering environment.

Responsibilities:
- You will contribute to the overall strategy for purchasing, supplier management and supply chain development
- You will play a key role in the continuous improvement of our materials and purchasing processes
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements
- Monitor vendor performance issues and corrective action management
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers
- Prepare daily and monthly procurement reports.
- Inventory control
- Using ERP system
- Analyse pricing trends and seek cost-effective solutions
- Liaise with other departments to ensure material availability for maximum manufacturing output and efficiency.
- Reporting to the Purchasing Manager
- Monday to Thursday: 07:00 16:15 (½ hour lunch break) & Friday: 07:00 12:00
- Office based in Wellingborough, Northampton
- Previous experience in buying / purchasing within an engineering / manufacturing environment. Previously been a Buyer / Procurement Specialist / Manufacturing Buyer or similar
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as INFOR ERPLN / SAP or similar inventory management software.
- Commutable to Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
