Money and Benefits Advisor (Permanent)
Location: Northampton (Hybrid)
Salary: £35,123 per annum + £1,657 car allowance

We are seeking a Money and Benefits Advisor to join our Clients team. In this role, you will provide essential financial support and guidance to tenants, helping them navigate the complexities of benefits, welfare entitlements, and money management. Your focus will be on improving tenant financial stability and contributing to their long-term sustainability in housing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality, customer-focused financial advice and support to tenants, ensuring they maximise their income through benefits and welfare entitlements.
  • Manage a caseload of tenants, offering guidance on budgeting, benefits applications, and money management strategies.
  • Provide advice to colleagues and stakeholders on welfare and benefits matters, contributing to policy improvements and service delivery.
  • Assist tenants in complex benefit appeals, representing them at hearings as required.
  • Conduct workshops and one-to-one sessions to enhance tenant knowledge around financial literacy, budgeting, and debt management.
  • Stay up to date with legislative changes, particularly in relation to welfare reform and benefits.

What Our Clients Looking For:
  • Proven experience in providing comprehensive welfare, benefit, and financial advice.
  • Ability to calculate benefit entitlements and identify under-claimed benefits.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of handling sensitive situations with empathy.
  • Experience with benefit appeals and tribunal representation.
  • Commitment to delivering high standards of customer service.
  • A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
