Fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, successful, regional multi-office law firm in the heart of Somerset as a Residential Property Solicitor. As a Residential Property Solicitor, you will join a collaborative, friendly and organised team of 4 other fee earners, plus legal support staff.

This is a local, yet professional firm, offering city salaries with top quality work but in a rural environment and with a non-corporate ethos. Lexcel and CQS accreditations held.

The requirement is to handle all aspects of the residential conveyancing process, including sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold land, and ideally other residential property matters such as equity release, transfers of equity shared ownership, etc.

Overview:

More specifically, you will:-

  • Provide competent legal advice on all areas of property law.
  • Prepare and review legal documents such as contracts and leases.
  • Conduct property searches and due diligence to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts on behalf of clients to achieve favourable outcomes.
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other professionals involved in the transaction process.
  • Update clients about the progress of their cases and provide timely updates.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the transaction process.
  • Stay updated on changes in property law and regulations to provide informed advice.

The successful candidate:

  • You will be a Residential Property Solicitor/Legal Executive/Licensed Conveyancer with 2+ years experience in the area of residential conveyancing law (or otherwise qualified by experience).
  • You will have experience managing your own caseload from start to finish.
  • You will have excellent client care skills,team working ability,attention to detail, a problem solving mind, good organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple cases successfully.
  • You will have experience using case management systems and you will be keen to join a friendly and stable team for a long term career ahead.
