Business Development Manager - Leisure

Business Introduction:

Seymour John are exclusively partnered with Morland to secure Business Development Manager for their core Leisure market. Morland is a £30m turnover division of Interior Products Group, a third-generation owner-managed business. Since 1972, their prefinished fit-out products have been manufactured and sold under the Morlandname. Their integrated modern manufacturing divisions produce interior panels, architectural profiles, patented fire doors and a range of 'prefit’ products designed to reduce the need for on-site finishing. These products are sold into UK leisure industry (e.g. motorhome, caravan and yacht manufacturers), the UK construction sector, and via a rapidly growing E-commerce channel to customers worldwide.

The Opportunity:

Reporting into, and supported by, the Sales & Marketing Director you will take the lead on driving new business and lapsed Customer Sales. You will be ambitious and self-motivated, with the energy and enthusiasm to grow the current sales pipeline from an already impressive £2.5 to £4.8m in 2025.

  • Predominantly focus on new business development -proactively targeting pre-identified prospects, booking a high volume of face-to-face meetings to develop new relationships and demonstrate samples.
  • Effective diary management to optimise your schedule to ensure high volumes of client facing activity.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Track and report on sales performance metrics and market feedback.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences and networking opportunities to develop brand profile.

Who are we looking for?

An experienced Sales professional, with the confidence and resilience to grow new business pipelines. You will be comfortable spending 2-3 nights away from home per week at locations across the UK and confident driving long distances to meet prospective clients.
