Agency Mental Health Healthcare Assistant (HCA)

Location: Powys region, Wales 

Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour to  £33 per hour

We have many NHS Mental Health Shifts in  the Powys Region in Wales, with flexible opportunities for Mental Health HCA’s / Support Workers.  If you have at least 6 months previous Mental Health Experience then we want to hear from you as we can help you unlock your career potential with an agency that truly works for you.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months experience in a mental health setting
  • NVQ level 2 in Mental Health Care or equivalent experience
  • Up-to-date DBS (Enhanced)
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
  • In-date breakaway training (PMVA, MAPA, or PSTS)
  • Car Driver is desirable, due to public transport shortages. 
  • Ensures that own actions support equality, diversity, and human rights.
  • Understanding of customer care and complaints handling
  • Knowledge of providing a safe environment for adults
  • Basic Life Support Training
  • Understanding of Mental Health Act
  • Understanding of Protection of Vulnerable Adult Procedures
  • Understanding of Child Protection Procedures
