Quality Engineer

Are you a skilled Quality Engineer with a passion for driving excellence in the polymers and materials sector? My client is seeking a Quality Engineer at their Hertfordshire site, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards for their innovative products. As a key member of their quality team, you will lead Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) investigations, identify root causes of quality issues, and implement robust solutions that enhance their processes and product offerings.

As the Quality Engineer you will have several years’ experience in a similar quality-focused role. You will also be degree educated in a scientific or engineering discipline – knowledge and experience with Lean 6 Sigma is a bonus!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead CAPA Investigations: Take charge of conducting thorough CAPA investigations to address quality issues, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal protocols.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Analyse quality data, identify trends, and propose initiatives to improve overall product quality and process efficiency.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with R&D, production, and other departments to promote a quality-first mindset throughout the organisation.
  • Maintain Standards and Certifications: Ensure that all products meet the required standards and certifications, supporting their commitment to excellence.

  • Industry Experience: Preferably, you have a background in a similar quality role within the Polymers or Performance Materials sector, bringing valuable insights and expertise to the team.
  • Technical Knowledge: A degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field, combined with experience in quality control or R&D environments.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities with a proven track record in managing quality investigations and driving corrective actions.
  • Proactive Approach: A hands-on, proactive attitude with a passion for continuous improvement and a keen eye for detail.
