My client are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join their quality team. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards of quality, ensuring full supply chain traceability and compliance with AS9120 and other customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have a background in defence, automotive or aerospace industries and be familiar with quality standards.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Conduct detailed inspections to ensure compliance with technical drawings and documentation, generating inspection reports and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to meet AS9102 and customer requirements.
  • Manage and maintain the calibration system to meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Actively participate in the Non-Conformance (NC) and Return Material Authorisation (RMA) processes, including raising quality alerts, quarantining, and scrapping parts if necessary.
  • Conduct thorough investigations on detected issues, propose and perform containment actions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support root cause analysis, corrective & preventive actions, and propose improvements.
  • Collaborate in the generation of company metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Engage with customers and suppliers regarding quality-related concerns.
  • Report to the Quality Director and assist Quality Engineers in their tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven quality inspection experience
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards AS9100/AS9120, or at minimum ISO 9001.
  • Proficiency in using basic inspection equipment and understanding technical drawings.
  • Experience with machined parts and associated processes.
  • HNC or an equivalent technical qualification.
  • Excellent organisational skills and self-motivation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong team player with the ability to deliver results.
  • Computer literacy, ideally with proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Effective communication skills at all levels of the organisation.
