We deliver high-quality housing schemes and work within established frameworks to provide cost-effective and efficient solutions. Our Hertfordshire office is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dedicated team and contribute to the success of our social housing projects.Job Overview:As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be a key member of our social housing division, reporting directly to the Managing Quantity Surveyor. You will work alongside two other surveyors and a team of administrators/buyers. Your primary responsibilities will include managing project costs from inception to final accounts, working on Schedule of Rates - NHF to streamline estimating processes, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget and to the highest standards.Key Responsibilities:Project Management:Oversee the financial aspects of social housing schemes, from project award to final accounts.Conduct Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and manage the project budget effectively.Work with Schedule of Rates - NHF to enhance the speed and accuracy of estimating.Liaison and Coordination:Liaise with sub-contractors, ensuring that all works are conducted within agreed budgets and timeframes.Communicate with clients to provide updates and ensure their requirements are met.Collaborate with the team of surveyors and administrators/buyers for successful project delivery.Financial Management:Prepare and manage valuations, variations, and final accounts.Monitor project expenditure and identify potential cost-saving measures.Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and client contracts.Key Requirements:Experience: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the social housing sector or working on similar frameworks.Technical Skills: Familiarity with Schedule of Rates - NHF and conducting CVRs.Qualifications: Relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.Communication: Excellent communication and negotiation skills for liaising with sub-contractors and clients.Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail in financial reporting and project management.Location: Office-based role out of our Hertfordshire office.What We Offer:Competitive salary ranging from £50,000 - £65,000 depending on experience.Bonus scheme based on project and company performance.Comprehensive healthcare package.Pension plan.Generous holidays and additional perks and discounts.A collaborative work environment with opportunities for professional development.Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
