Location: Welwyn Garden City

Hours: 47.5 hours per week (No weekends)

Salary: 40,000 to 45,000 per annum, plus bonuses

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Panel Beater to join our client's busy body shop team. This is a great opportunity to work with an established company that rewards skill, attention to detail, and a commitment to high standards in vehicle repair.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate damaged vehicles and determine the most effective repair methods.
• Strip and refit vehicle body panels and trims, ensuring alignment and fitment meet manufacturer standards.
• Perform body repairs, including panel beating, welding, and dent removal.
• Replace damaged panels using both mechanical and hand tools.
• Utilise various techniques, such as hammering, planishing, and shrinking/stretching metal panels.
• Apply filler, sand, and prepare panels for painting to achieve a smooth finish.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and ensure all tools and equipment are in proper working order.
• Collaborate with the workshop team to meet deadlines and uphold high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Stay updated on the latest vehicle repair methods and industry standards.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Panel Beater in a busy accident repair environment.
• Proficiency in using body shop equipment and tools, including welders and straightening machines.
• Ability to work to a high standard and meet manufacturer specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Positive attitude with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Relevant qualifications in vehicle body repair are beneficial but not essential.
• Full UK driving license.
