Location: Hertfordshire (Base locations in Stevenage and Apsley)

Salary Range: 46,464 per annum, rising to 50,512 per annum (includes base salary and market enhanced payment), plus a 1,000 one-off welcome payment* (Pay Increase pending)

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 37 per week

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Qualified Children's Senior Practitioner to join our 0-25 Disability Service team. In this role, you will lead on complex cases, mentor junior staff, and ensure top-tier social work practice in supporting children and young adults with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex cases involving children and young adults with disabilities.
  • Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and manage risks effectively.
  • Foster relationship-based practice to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
  • Stay updated with the latest social work practices and legislation.

About You:

  • Essential Qualifications and Experience:

    • Relevant Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
    • At least 2 years of post-qualification social work experience.
    • Advanced knowledge of social work practice in disability services.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft IT packages.
    • Full UK Driving Licence and regular access to a vehicle.
  • Team-Specific Skills:

    • Ability to complete comprehensive assessments and manage risks.
    • Experience in relationship-based practice.
