PRODUCTION SHIFT MANAGER | HERTFORDSHIRE | Competitive Salary

Blackfield Associates are supporting a global pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation to recruit for a Production Shift Manager to contribute to the operational and strategic management of Production/Packaging at their facility in the Hertfordshire area. The role would involve working Monday - Friday, hours rotating weekly: 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the role involves management of the Packaging Department and Production Operators on your shift, as well as providing direction to shift engineers and warehouse operators.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of 18-20 people on shift, direct line management of a Line Leader and Packaging Coordinator.
  • Conducting regular meetings, coaching and review of development opportunities of all direct reports, as well as setting individual objects, conducting reviews/assessments, and ensuring continuing training of departmental personnel is carried out and adapted according to business needs.
  • Contribution to the development of the departmental budget.
  • Ensuring compliance to H&S procedures, completion of production risk assessments and safety inspections.
  • Conducting production reviews of completed production batch records.
  • Identifying, facilitating and implementing Continuous Improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP and safety standards.


Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable leadership and people management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience across a Pharmaceutical Packaging / Manufacturing function, working to GMP.
  • Strong communication skills are required as you will be working with various departments.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process and operational improvements.
