Position: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Hertfordshire
Package: £50,000- £65,000 + £6,500 Car Allowance + Travel Fully Covered

Skilled Careers is delighted to be working with the fastest-growing construction company in Europe, a leader known for their exceptional project delivery and dynamic growth. With a £500m+ turnover and an exciting pipeline of work, they are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their team and contribute to the success of a £20m Industrial New Build project in Hertfordshire.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work as the No. 2 Quantity Surveyor, supporting an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor and gaining hands-on experience while building your career. With a clear progression path to Senior Quantity Surveyor, this position is ideal for a motivated professional ready to take their career to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial performance of the project.
• Prepare and submit monthly cost/value reconciliations (CVRs) and progress reports.
• Manage and optimise valuations, cost control, and cash flow to ensure project profitability.
• Assist with subcontractor management, including procurement, valuations, and final accounts.
• Contribute to maintaining compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a focus on new build projects.
• Ambition to progress within the construction industry and move into a Senior Quantity Surveyor role.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive and collaborative mindset, with a strong attention to detail.
