Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious Customer Technical Manager to join their business.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Act as the principal point of contact for customer teams, hosting and accompanying customers on visits to site and supplier sites.
* Ensure all products meet safety, legality, and quality standards, maintaining customer confidence in our business.
* Align business practices with customer requirements, embedding protocols and procedures into our operations.
* Lead new product development (NPD) and quality improvement projects, driving innovation and competitive advantage.
* Utilise data to monitor and review performance, implementing actions to meet customer expectations.
* Develop and maintain technical policies in line with customer standards, ensuring clear communication to internal teams and suppliers.
* Collaborate with internal and external teams to formulate and implement technical agendas aligned with business objectives.
* Ensure all activities support the long-term sustainability of the business, meeting specific group and business growth needs.
* Optimise systems and processes for a more efficient and cost-effective business.
* Provide support and cover for the technical team, aiding the development of junior staff members and ensuring smooth operations.
* Promote a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
