About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mid-Day Supervisor to join our team at, an inclusive school supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). As a Mid-Day Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting students during their lunch break, ensuring their safety, well-being, and enjoyment. This role will also involve manual handling tasks, as you assist students with mobility needs, helping them access the lunch hall and move around the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support students during lunchtime, ensuring a safe and positive experience.
  • Assist students with special needs, including manual handling where required.
  • Support students with feeding, toileting, and other personal care tasks as needed.
  • Manage and assist with transitions between activities, ensuring the safety and comfort of all students.
  • Monitor students' behaviour, promoting positive interactions and managing any incidents in a calm and professional manner.
  • Ensure all students are supervised at all times, including indoors and outdoors during playtime.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a supportive environment for the students.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working in an SEN or care setting is desirable, though not essential.
  • Understanding of manual handling procedures or a willingness to undertake training.
  • A patient, empathetic, and caring approach to supporting students.
  • Ability to manage and support children with a variety of needs in a calm and effective manner.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and a strong commitment to the well-being of children.
