Location: Wembley

Full-time: 5 days a week

Teach Plus are currently working with one of the largest schools in the area, who are looking for an experienced teaching assistant to join their team.

The primary school provides foundations that will prepare pupils for the next stage in their learning. They have a wonderful learning environment to allow pupils to bring out the best in themselves.

They have several outdoor spaces that pupils benefit from, such as a nature garden to support learning and an outdoor astroturf football pitch and multi-use games area for fun.

As a teaching assistant you will be required to:

  • Follow the class teacher's direction in supporting the child both inside and outside the classroom
  • Follow plans for activities and intervention sessions provided by the class teacher
  • Support with learning
  • Ensure the child feels supported and safe by having a warm and nurturing approach

The ideal candidate for this teaching assistant role will have:

  • Have experience working as a teaching assistant
  • Ideally have worked with children in KS1 and assisted teacher with class roles
  • The ability to build rapport with the child and be able to respond to the child's individual needs
  • Follow direction from the class teacher, SENCO, external agencies such as Speech and Language Therapist
