We are seeking a Safeguarding Coordinator/Administrator to be based in our office in Wembley to play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of vulnerable adults in our community.

Job Purpose

  • Professionally handle phone calls, emails, and correspondence to the Safeguarding Adults Team, addressing simple queries and escalating complex ones to the Safeguarding Adults Risk Manager.
  • Refer cases that do not meet the adult safeguarding threshold to appropriate services.
  • Process safeguarding concern work steps on Mosaic.
  • Communicate the outcomes of safeguarding concerns and other referrals to referrers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and initiate office support tasks, ensuring proactive cover for colleagues when needed. This includes meeting arrangements, note-taking, minute-taking, and data management.
  • Apply council-wide administrative processes to support service delivery, such as sending letters and maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintain and update IT systems, including corporate databases like Mosaic, ensuring data accuracy for statutory returns and local datasets.
  • Scan, upload, and securely dispose of documents following Data Protection Act requirements.
  • Professionally handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, redirecting queries as appropriate.
  • Respond sensitively to enquiries from professionals and customers, considering individual circumstances.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all records and adhere to safeguarding and data protection guidelines.
  • Positively contribute to the delivery of the service, demonstrating flexibility to achieve the council's objectives.
  • Monitor incoming work folders and highlight priority cases to the SARM.
  • Gather initial information to support referral decisions and ensure communication of referral outcomes.
