Veritas Education are working with a mainstream secondary school who are looking for ASD Learning Support with experience working within schools or children with Autism (ASD). This secondary school are taking on new pupils with a range of abilities and expadning their ASD unit.

Responsibilities:

  • Support children who have special educational need including those who have ASD, and others will have speech and language needs and other learning difficulties.
  • Have an understanding of EHCP's (Educational Health Care Plans), so you can support individual pupils
  • You must have a patient and friendly nature, also combined with effective behaviour management.
  • 1:1 support in class and occasional group work and intervention to raise attainment.

Requirements -

  • Experience with children with special needs (preferably ASD)
  • Experience within schools
  • Degree level preferred (Psychology/English/Maths/Science)
  • Subject to Enhanced DBS Check & Satisfactory references
