Remedy Tutors are looking for experienced, flexible SEN Outreach tutors to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality one-on-one tutoring sessions to students in up to 15 hours a week per student.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students with diverse learning styles, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH).
  • Create and implement personalised lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote student engagement and understanding.
  • Assess and monitor student's progress, identifying areas for improvement and providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student's educational development.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of tutoring sessions and student progress.

Requirements:

  • A preferred background in and SEN (Special Educational Needs) experience, with a strong understanding of differentiated instruction.
  • Proficient in teaching core subjects to students of various age groups and ability levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and establish a positive learning environment.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning styles and needs.
  • Qualified teachers or PGCE is preferred and can be paid at a higher rate.
