We’re looking for a compassionate and committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in Wendover, working with students aged 11–16 who face Social, Emotional, and Mental Health challenges.

In this role, you will:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs

  • Build meaningful, trusting relationships that promote emotional stability and engagement

  • Support pupils through challenging behaviours with empathy and consistency

  • Work alongside a passionate team of educators, SEN specialists, and support staff

  • Create a safe, respectful, and nurturing learning environment where students feel heard

What we’re looking for:
  • Experience supporting young people in education, care, youth work, or community settings

  • A calm, patient approach to behaviour and emotional needs

  • Someone who is emotionally resilient, consistent, and genuinely motivated by helping others

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
