Deputy Head of Finance | West Midlands | c£70,000

Elevation Recruitment Group Senior Finance are looking for a Deputy Head of Finance to join a growing and dynamic organisation, to play a key role in its UK finance operations. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a fast-paced environment, with a mix of financial reporting, commercial finance, and project work.

Reporting to the UK Head of Finance, the Deputy Head of Finance will be responsible for:

  • Financial Reporting & Controls – Overseeing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Financial Operations – Managing accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and cash flow
  • Budgeting & Forecasting – Supporting strategic planning to drive business growth
  • Pricing & Margins – Monitoring costs and improving financial estimates to enhance profitability
  • Systems & Process Improvement – Leading ERP system enhancements and optimising financial processes
  • Compliance & Audit – Ensuring adherence to statutory and tax regulations, working with external advisors as needed
  • Leadership – Managing and mentoring Finance Managers to build a high-performing team

We’re looking for a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with:

  • At least 5 years of post-qualification experience
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • A commercial mindset with a focus on business growth
  • Excellent Excel and ERP system experience
  • A hands-on, proactive approach with a drive for continuous improvement
