European Road Freight Operator - Company Overview

Our Client, a specialist international freight forwarding firm with multiple worldwide offices are currently looking for a European Road Freight Operator to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

European Road Freight Operator - Role and Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers and overseas agents to coordinate shipment details.
• Organise and plan loads while coordinating with hauliers to ensure efficient transport routes.
• Prepare and raise the necessary export documentation to facilitate trailer transit through UK ports and European borders.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that arise.

European Road Freight Operator - Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years in road freight operations is required.
• A good standard of education is necessary.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including a professional telephone manner.
• Previous experience with trade lanes: Covering all of Europe
• Must have sound knowledge of both import and export processes (road)
• Proficient in using computer systems; additional training will be provided for in-house software.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and learning is essential.
