My client is on the lookout for a proactive and professional HR Assistant to join their dynamic team. You will be supporting the HR team in delivering a comprehensive HR service to the business. This role involves assisting in employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and compliance with employment legislation. You will work closely with HR colleagues and line managers to ensure best HR practices across the organisation.


Job Role:

  • Employee Relations - Assist in managing employee queries and concerns, ensuring timely resolution. Support HR Advisors in handling disciplinary and grievance procedures. Provide guidance on company policies and employment law.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding - Assist with the end-to-end recruitment process, including drafting job descriptions, screening candidates, and arranging interviews. Support onboarding and induction programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires. Maintain recruitment records and track key hiring metrics.
  • Performance Management and Development - Assist in coordinating performance reviews and appraisal processes. Support learning and development initiatives by organising training sessions and tracking employee participation. Work with managers to ensure employees receive appropriate career development opportunities.
  • HR Administration and Compliance - Maintain accurate HR records, including contracts, policies, and personnel files. Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies. Assist in the preparation of HR reports and analytics to support decision-making.
  • Compensation and Benefits - Assist in administering employee benefits programs. Address employee queries regarding pay and benefits.
  • HR Projects and Initiatives - Contribute to the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with business goals. Support diversity and inclusion programs. Assist in employee engagement activities and well-being initiatives.


About You:

  • CIPD Level 3 Qualified as a minimum
  • Experience in an HR role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion with a professional and approachable attitude.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR policies.
