Murray Myers are recruiting for a position that has opened in the Mechanical Department. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled mechanical engineering team within a lower-tier COMAH facility. We seek an experienced, qualified mechanical fitter for an immediate start.
- Perform mechanical preventative and reactive maintenance on industrial equipment, including gearboxes, pumps, mechanical seals, and pipework.
- Conduct mechanical plant installation and modification work.
- Execute statutory inspections, pressure testing, plant integrity checks, and commissioning work.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems.
- Interpret equipment drawings, manuals, and technical information to support maintenance tasks.
- Adhere to company safe systems of work and permit to work systems.
Qualifications and Training:
- Minimum RQF level 3 (e.g., City & Guilds level 3) in Mechanical Fitting/Engineering.
- Recognized mechanical apprenticeship preferred.
- Training in MEWP’s, Abrasive Wheels, and Confined Spaces is desirable.
Benefits:
The salary is £29,952 to £35,940 (Normal grade) or £33,264 to £39,912 (Senior grade).
