This business operates within a highly regulated environment, supplying specialist chemical solutions to industries such as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and specialty chemicals. The Role:As Mechanical Manager, you will take full responsibility for the Mechanical & Civil Engineering departments, leading a team of 23 staff and managing contractors when required. Your role will involve:
- Overseeing mechanical and civil maintenance operations.
- Managing mechanical project engineering within an industrial manufacturing setting.
- Ensuring compliance with Safety, Health & Environmental regulations.
- Utilizing Computerised Maintenance Management Systems effectively.
- Liaising with suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies such as the HSE and insurance inspectors.
- A minimum of 10 years experience in a mechanical engineering role within an industrial manufacturing environment, including 5+ years in a supervisory position.
- A HNC in Mechanical Engineering (degree preferred).
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
- Excellent IT proficiency and ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
