Are you a seasoned Mechanical Manager with experience in an industrial manufacturing environment? We have an exciting opportunity to lead a skilled engineering team at a well-established company known for its expertise in complex chemical manufacturing.

This business operates within a highly regulated environment, supplying specialist chemical solutions to industries such as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and specialty chemicals. With a strong commitment to safety, innovation, and process optimization, they offer a challenging and rewarding work environment.

The Role:

As Mechanical Manager, you will take full responsibility for the Mechanical & Civil Engineering departments, leading a team of 23 staff and managing contractors when required. Your role will involve:

  • Overseeing mechanical and civil maintenance operations.
  • Managing mechanical project engineering within an industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Ensuring compliance with Safety, Health & Environmental regulations.
  • Utilizing Computerised Maintenance Management Systems effectively.
  • Liaising with suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies such as the HSE and insurance inspectors.
What We're Looking For:
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in a mechanical engineering role within an industrial manufacturing environment, including 5+ years in a supervisory position.
  • A HNC in Mechanical Engineering (degree preferred).
  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
  • Excellent IT proficiency and ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
