Hours of work: Rotating 3 shift pattern - Days, Afternoons, Nights
Rate of pay: 12.00 Per hour
Mainstay Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Material Handler on behalf of our long standing West Bromwich based client. As a Material Handler you will be responsible for the safe and efficient offloading of raw materials into the company, operating Overhead Crane and Counterbalance etc.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL WITHIN YOUR APPLICATION FOR THIS ROLE YOU MUST HAVE AN INDATE OVER HEAD CRANE LICENCE
Duties:
- Operate material handling equipment such as cranes and forklifts
- Offload, identify and safely store raw material in coil and flat sheet form
- Take responsibility for inspection goods for quality and quantity
- Enter traceability data into manual and/or electronic records
- Ensure good levels of 5S are maintained in the area
- Be involved in continuous improvement processes 7 driving through improvements in all aspects of the role
- Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed
- Performs Other Duties as assigned
- All offloading of raw materials achieved in a timely manner
Candidate Requirements:
- In-date counterbalance licence
- Experience of operating Overhead Crane
- A good knowledge of material handling processes
- Able to work as part of a team and as an individual
- Motivation to beat targets safely and required quality standards
Hours of work
- 3 shift rotation. Days (6am-2pm) Afternoons (2pm-10pm) Nights (10pm - 6am)
- Rate of pay: 12.00 Per hour + Overtime
